Summer is coming and the weather is sometimes too unbearably hot to enjoy the outdoors. Don't let the heat bring you down. If you aren't outside jumping in the pool, bring the outside into your living space. There are many ways to accent your décor that will help to bridge that gap between the outdoors and indoors, without the heat.
Adding greenery into your home is the simplest and easiest way. Trees, potted plants and floral arrangements add a cool, refreshing feeling to a space as well as improving the air quality.
Flowering plants are elements of design that can fill the home with colors that can be complementary to the room's decor. Their usage can range from a small shelf arrangement, a stunning focal point on a table, or tall indoor tree in an interesting planter.
If you want a calm, soothing, Zen-like quality, the introduction of a water feature is an option.
Table top fountains that use stones and river rocks in the feature enhance the soothing sound of the water. Making a room feel much cooler and bringing a spa-like quality into your space. These small fountains can be placed on a side table, in an entry, or even hung an a wall to help draw some of the healing power of water into the space.
Being conscientious and staying out of the sun you can replicate natural sunlight within your home with the newer light bulbs available. Regular bulbs emit warm or cool tones of light. The newer bulbs mimic more of a color range that is found in natural light, with its full spectrum of color, bringing out the truest colors inside, and instantly brightening the interior environment.
Adding exterior elements into your home lets you enjoy and relax inside without the extreme heat!
